ACES academic programs help students discover new knowledge and become leaders in environmental stewardship, food and fiber production, water use and conservation, and improving the health of all New Mexicans.
The college's academic programs prepare students for a wide array of careers. Of our 22 bachelor degree programs, 14 are offered nowhere else in New Mexico. We also offer three doctoral programs and nine master's degree programs.
The College's research and extension outreach arms reach every county in the state and provide research-based knowledge and programs to improve the lives of all New Mexicans.
Agricultural Experiment Station researchers work on the main campus and at 13 research centers across the state. In addition to improving New Mexico's agricultural industry, researchers sustain our natural resources and improve the quality of our lives.
The Cooperative Extension Service provides practical, research-based knowledge throughout New Mexico. Extension staff in each county and at tribal offices deliver 4-H programs, conduct trainings, and share research-based information about livestock, nutrition, horticulture, and consumer topics.

The IRD program connects 23 tribal nations with higher education institutions across New Mexico and offers exploration, internship, and research opportunities to tribal youth.
